God Loves Sinners

A remarkable, but true fact is -- God loves sinners. He loves you, too, no matter what you have done!

ROMANS 5:6-8 NKJ
6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God gave a demonstration to prove He loves you at Calvary -- where Jesus died a cruel death on a cross. He died, in your place, to set you free. Christ died for the ungodly. He took your place, suffering punishment you deserved.

By dying for you, God proved He loved you supremely. There is no way He could have loved you more. Jesus proved that He loves you more than He loves Himself.

JOHN 15:13 NKJ
13 "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.

Jesus gave His life. What more could He do?

1 JOHN 3:16a NKJ
16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us.

Many people have had a distorted view of God. The true picture of God's nature is that He loves all the people of the world so much, He was willing to suffer for their freedom.

Jesus Is The Savior

JOHN 3:16-18 NKJ
16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

God loved you so much He went into action to set you free. God does not condemn you.

JOHN 12:46-48 NKJ
46 "I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.
47 "And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
48 "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him -- the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

Jesus came to deliver you, not to judge you or condemn you. He loves you and desires the best for you.

Do not reject Jesus Christ. If you do, you are rejecting God's only provision for you to have eternal life.

1 JOHN 4:9-10 NKJ
9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

God loved you and sent His only Son to die for you, so you may live -- not because you loved Him -- or even asked Him to. He suffered for you because He loved you.

He has not changed. God still loves you now.

When Jesus Was On Earth

MATTHEW 11:19 NKJ
19 "The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, `Look, a gluttonous man and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!'. . . .

Jesus had trouble with the religious leaders when He walked the earth, because He was a friend of sinners. Jesus is the same today. He never changes. Jesus is your friend.

LUKE 19:7 NKJ
7 But when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, "He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner."

Religious people could not understand how Jesus could love and care for a sinner -- they certainly did not. But Jesus did, and He still does.

JOHN 8:11 NKJ
11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

Jesus does not condemn you for your sin. He understands. He came to earth and lived in a human body just as you do. He knows the pressure. He knows the pain. And Jesus cares. He cares enough to help you be free of the sin; because He knows that sin will destroy you. Sin may give a temporary pleasure, but in the end sin always destroys. Jesus loves you too much to want you to be destroyed.

You Can Be Saved

1 TIMOTHY 1:15 NKJ
15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners . . . .

There would be no need to help perfect people. Jesus came to help sinners. The only ones He does not help are those who think they can make it on their own, and therefore ask no help from Him.

JOHN 1:12 NKJ
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name:

No matter how terrible a person may be, they have the right to receive Jesus and become a true child of Almighty God.

You Can Have A New Start

2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-21 NKJ
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,
19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

By receiving Jesus you get a fresh start. You become a new creation. You can have another chance.

Sins you have committed will not be held against you. Jesus took your place, suffering the punishment you deserved for your sins, so you could be right with God.

God is pleading with you right now to be reconciled with Him. He loves you and desires the best for your life.

Call On Jesus Now

ROMANS 10:12-13 NKJ
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13 For "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Any person who will call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be heard. Jesus will help you if you turn to Him.

1 TIMOTHY 2:4 NKJ
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

God excludes no one. He loves all people so much that He desires them to be in His family, living with Him for all eternity.

Love To Last Forever

1 JOHN 3:1 NKJ
1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! . . . .

God does not just forgive us, then leave us out in the cold. He makes us part of His very own family.

EPHESIANS 2:4-10 NKJ
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

God is rich in mercy to sinners. Not only will He save you -- He plans to continue blessing you exceedingly, by His grace, throughout the ages to come.
